A Song For Mardi Gras | Twinsday #7
This past weekend, we had the opportunity to perform at the Mardi Gras Parade at the San Antonio River Walk. Super cool gig, and we had a great time! We sang a lot of upbeat songs to keep the momentum going with the crowd. But in keeping with the Mardi Gras theme, this week's Twinsday is a slower cover song we do in most of our shows, about life in New Orleans. This was not a song we grew up with, but rather one that was introduced to us but a music teacher who had us sing it as a warm up in rehearsals. We revisited it later on, and introduced it into our sets some time later. We get asked to sing this one often!
