We’ve got a little announcement to make. As many of you know, we recently turned 18 and graduated from high school. After six years of performing as a duo throughout Texas and three recorded albums, with college coming upon us, we’ve decided it’s time to take a little break. We’re calling this transitional time an “interlude” for now, so that we can take some time to move to our new city and get acclimated to college life. We will be attending the University of Houston, studying education (Annie) and marketing (Kate). We’re excited to be going on our new student orientation next week! “Interlude” is a good word because it lets us take some time to focus on our new situations and figure out what’s next for us, but to also let you know that it’s going to be a while before we’ll be performing again.
We feel that music is in our blood, and we anticipate being able to start doing some shows again after some months have passed and we get adjusted to our new situations. We plan to continue to write music, and are also hoping to record our new song “Stand My Ground” at some point during a school break as well. Our upcoming shows may not be as frequent as they've been in the past, but they will happen. Music is so much a part of who we are, and we’ve had so many wonderful experiences performing with other amazing musicians and meeting so many awesome people. We are so grateful that you’ve spent time with us and supported our music journey along the way!
To that end, this interlude will be preceded by a series of shows in Austin and San Antonio, for us to say “so long for now”. We’ve got five shows left this summer, with our last gig scheduled for Sat/Jul29 in Cedar Park, and our next one this fall in San Antonio. We hope you’ll join us soon! Go Coogs!
